My wife Tracey and I have been married 17 years. We have two kids Matthew and Ashley. We live in Devon Alberta, regularly attending Indigenous and Community events. I work hard to help those in need and believe that family is the number one most important thing in life. I believe local is the way to go, I promote and shop at local businesses in the area regularly.
I have served my community in many ways, on the Devon Fire Department, volunteer committees, boards, Town of Devon Council, and the Legion. I regularly support and promote organizations like the food bank, Christmas Elves, Lions and other charitable organizations. I believe that community awareness and volunteerism is at the core of being a respectable and a well rounded individual.
I believe that looking through an Indigenous lens gives me a better understanding of the world. I teach my kids where they come from and the importance of their family and cultural history, and the many great lengths I and other family members have had to take to get where we are today. I teach my kids the importance of respecting and caring for the land we are on, as well as understanding each others differences while reaching a common ground. I know to always respect and listen to our elders and knowledge keepers and to never be afraid to learn. As we are the future and need to build on the past.

Just like the colorful sashes that are woven together with fibers that continue down and crossover one another, the mosaic of our kinship network has woven itself across our traditional homelands. I have been gifted by the hard work of many of my loved ones and detailed insight as to where I fit into the expansive Métis kinscape. I am honored to trace my ancestry through the L'horondelle's, Beaudry's, Breland's, Loyers', Grant's, Haws', Desmarais', Belley's, Ladoucer's and Cardinal's. I am also proud to be married to an amazing Métis woman who can trace her family history up through the Belcourt's.
